Default How long should it take? Temp?

Well I have this curiousity about how long it should take for a car to warm up. See my car takes about less than five minutes from one night to the next morning. I can usually start it up and drive it about 2-3 blocks and the temp is at normal already. Is this normal? Also notice tha my fan turns on a crap lod os times usually is almost always on. And my needle never moves. Usually other car's the needle moves slightly a little bit then comes down when the fan kicks in but mine doesn't move at all. Should I be worried or is this normal?

temp gauges in hondas are not a temp based thing. it moves up in increments. to not see a change in needle position is fine. if you are very worried about it get a aftermanrket temp gauge. do you have a/c or are you driving hard? hot climate? anything that might make your fan turn on often?

Well im in cali so right now its pretty hot. But even before it has always done it. I mean it turns on very frequehtly. Which to me its weird. On my Saturn it would usually turn on when it reached half temp. As in when it would go up. But this car(ej8) turns on almost always. I mean I think I might even time my **** one of these days. See how many times it actually turns on in five minutes. I mean I haven't had a over heating problem but I just want to be safe cuz im **** with my cars like that.

Yes it's normal, the hond civice have the termp sensor on the closed side of the thermostat, so it starts to read in just a few minutes, assuming your thermostat is working correctly.

If I'm not mistaken, if you go out and start your car and let it idle high like it's supposed to, the fan should turn on twice before it's warmed up. As for the fan kicking on several times, you most likely have a low coolant level...I had a friend that had that same problem, I checked the coolant level, and it was low. Added more coolant, and it stopped kicking on so much, and was at perfect temp...
