Default Oaks Racing - Prelude update

It has been a while since we have posted and update on our car. We have made some nice upgrades to the prelude over the past 1 1/2 years while not racing. We knew we had to make a change with our turbo set up. We were plaged with quality problems from our T72 and it fell out of boost between shifts. The decision was made to go with a Garrett G42 and we are glad that we did. The turbo spools very quickly with the H22 and the power is amazing and we have great customer service. Thanks Roger for posting the dyno video last week - 872 whp made for a fun night. As we all know races are not won on the dyno, but its nice to see the power possible from the Garrett G42 and H22 combo. Our header was built by Jeff at PFI and it definately helped with the power and made room for us to run an alternator once again. After the dyno pull last week we did a quick compression check to find that compresion was low on cylinder #1 so we pulled the head last Friday to find a trashed piston - our air/fuel was beautiful and we still went lean on this cylinder. We pulled the motor and tore it down and brought the block and head to the maching shop last Saturday. Thank God I took a week of vacation to get ready for the cancelled NOPI event. We picked up the block and head on Tuesday and re-built the motor and installed it on Thursday. Not wanting to repeat another lean cylinder we opened the wallet (again)and purchased Fast XFI EGT controls for each cylinder. Adding the FAST XFI was a good move as well which measures and loggs the EGT's. On the dyno that Friday Kyle and Brent were able to see the differences between each cylinder and make fuel adjustments accordingly. It was a beautiful weekend here in Denver and we still had an import race here on Saturday. We have some alingment issues to correct on the car and we quickly destroyed our transmission not putting a pass together. Here is a picture of the new set up. Thanks Garrett, PFI and Prologger for all of your help.
