Check all of your engine grounds , check your fuses , make sure that the fuel pump works

the main relay controls the fuel pump.

When you turn the key to on, without starting the car...does the CEL come on for 2 seconds then shut off? During that two seconds can you hear that low buzz of the fuel pump priming?

If that CEL doesn't do that, and the fuel pump doesn't prime...make sure that small ground wire attached to your thermostat housing.

That is what fixed my similar problem.

pull the spark plug out of #2, ground it and see if it sparks when you turn the motor over. If it does, make sure you have the fuel injector plugged in securely.

if the problem only occurs on #2, then you have a problem with either the connections, harness or computer, start by cleaning the pins on the connector, make sure it is fully plugged in and work from there.

test the voltage to a body ground at the ecu injector pins. Use the back probing method.

http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd1.htm

Connector A, pins 1,2,3,5

they should all show battery voltage. I am going to assume that the #2 injector pin is going to show lower voltage than the rest. If it does, then your ecu is toasted and needs to be replaced.

you said you have fuel, do you have fuel in #2 or not? pull the plug and see if you smell fuel.

if you have spark and fuel but no fire then you probably have a problem w/ compression. you did say you replaced valves right?

What valves did you replace? and was the car running before you started repairs? There are alot of things that could have been said that weren't imo. If you have fuel and fire to cyl 2 and nothing is happening then you have a compression problem imo. Check compression and make sure your spark plug is clean. I have heard cases of getting spark when grounded but none when reinstalled into the motor. Make sure you check compression.

Pull the spark plug out and check the spark that way. Listening isn't the best way imo. How do you know you have compression? have you done a compression test?
