For some time now my fuel pump doesn't start when I turn the key. Usually it happens when its humid or raining outside.. I get a Check Engine and end up waiting like 10 minutes for the fuel pump to finally start.

I thought it could be the main relay and ended up changing it and still the same problem.. I even resetted the ECU and still no go..

I have a 92 Civic DX hatch, Is there any other relay that is associated with the fuel pump that could cause this? Its really frustrating when I get out of work and have to sit there waiting for the fuel pump to turn on, HELP!

Start tracing the wires. One might have rubbed a bit of the insulation off of the wire and sometimes shorts. Moisture in the connection(s) maybe. Electrical Gremlins suck ***. Hope this helps.

The fuel pump starts when I try to turn it on directly from the relay, So I think it is a ECU problem, going to try and find a new P06 to see if it solves the problem.


Let me know what else could cause this sort of problem
