Default Drained block and rad of coolant. How do I refill block?

I don't want to run the motor dry of coolant until the t-stat opens so how can I fill the block of coolant? I thought I heard of filling it through the t-stat housing but I don't think that'll do much as it will just fill the main coolant tube. This is a 95 H22A if that matters. TIA

Start it and run it. Coolant will make its way through the block and no damage will be done.(be sure to bleed your system)

fill it through the upper radiator hose and into the block then fill the radiator. this also helps out with bleeding

make damn sure to bleed it good....pop the radiator cap and let it run for an hour while you top it off as needed....

I got stranded in houston 3 weeks ago because of this
