Default h22 not running properly

ok, i had a bad misfire issue and went through all kinds of troubles to get my car running. i replaced my plugs/wires/distributor/cap/rotor and that got rid of my crazy misfire issue. but now cylinder #4 (cam gear side) isnt working. its getting spark, i pulled the wire and heard it arcing. so now im at a loss for words. i have no other ideas as to what is wrong.

i took the spark plug out after tryin to get it running and exhaust came out the spark plug tube and it reaked of gas. so i took the valve cover off to check for a broken valve spring, none. i put the motor to TDC and the cam gears lined up perfectly. so, i have spark, i have fuel. what am i missing.

someone please help, i really dont want to take this to a shop and get raped.

check if your firing order is right. did u gap the sparkplugs?

did u do a engine wash lately? there might be a water that went inside were the sparkplugs go, if your car sounds like its a sti or has cams you might want to check that.

firing order is correct, checked it 3 times. spark plugs came pre-gapped. and no to the engine washes.

You might want to check the order, as you said cylinder 4 is closest to the cam gear. Pretty sure its cyclinder 1 thats closest to the cma gear...just a thought.
