Will any D15 head fit on any D15 block.
Well, Ive searched and I cant find anything.
I bought a crx and it wont run. I took the head off, I think the guy may have overheated the engine. I have a d15 andine in there with the multi-fuel injecton. I am wondering if a d15R head will fit on the engine. It is OBD2, I checked to make sure the distrubutor will line up. It will bolt up, but it is rotated side ways. I dont know if it will cause a problem. Any one have an idea of if it will work. Thanks.

Just curious, what exactly is a d15R head...
Never heard of it, and before any potential bashing starts, I'd like to have a chance for you to explain what it is (or what you think it is).
And to answer your general question, yes to a certain extent. 88-00 D series heads and blocks will work with one another but it doesn't always mean it's a straight swap or that it'll work without a certain mod or two.

Ima have to second that... from the d15R to the interchangeable engine subject.

Well, I used to be really big on honda's. I knew alot about them but I havent messed with them in like 5 years. I never heard of a d15R, But my friend took it out of his 96 civic hatch to put an ls/vtec in it. The motor was sitting at his house. I went by there today and I looked at the engine. The block says D15R on it. I never heard of it and I searched. I found nothing. Basically, I am just making sure that I won't have any problems if I were to use that head. I mean the distributor bolts up, so that was my biggest worry. I think I am gonna try it and see what happens.
it probably said D15B but some grease covered it and made it look like an r. or maybe you are on some wicked ****. dont worry im not coming down on you i had my drug days 10 years ago.
There was no grease on the block. I wiped the dirt off it. But maybe i am mistaken. It could be a d15b. If so, will that work.
I used to have a D15B replacement engine in my car but it was a regular DX. Since you said the distributor bolts up without issue, I'm assuming that the one you saw is the same. One more question just to be sure, is that D15B a VTEC motor? If you can't tell just by looking, check out many bolts are holding down the valve cover.
Again, short answer is yes it will work, but need to know which specific D15B you have.

Its non vtec. I never saw the vtec solenoid. its OBD2. I will have to take a look at it again to find out what D15 it is. Thanks.
