or other dohc d series head will fit???

 

It can be done, but it is not a direct fit. One of the bolt holes will not line up. You'll have to machine the head.

This is what you're gonna see. This is a D16A6 block with a D16A1 headgasket.



You need to have one of the head bolt holes (the one on the very end) "ovalled" out. I am not sure about dowel pin fitment. I didn't check it.

but i heard someone told me its wont fit unless have a ton of machine wrk done and always blown headgasket
so did anyone done 1 and runnin good and detail pls

I've been asking this question for about a year and a half, and I'm YET to talk to anyone who has a motor RUNNING with a D16A1 head... I even put it in my sig. for a while !!! Never got an answer. D16A1 head has 1mm bigger valves and bigger intake ports...

D16A6 block/crank, integra rods, Z6 pistions, D16A1 head/intake and a big *** turbo sounds like the ultimate junkyard build up !!!
