anyone used phearable.net? good or bad?
i'm dropping an Ls crank, and some cams (unknown size, but i'll find out) in my gsr, other mods are just I/H/E. just wondering if anyone has ever bought a chip from phearable.net to tune their car?
my mod's are small, so it should be an easy tune, right?
.. i just want this to hold me off for about 1-2 runs down at the road course in a few months till i have enough time/money to get it tunes properly.
TIA

Ive bought a tuned ecu from him, works great! Had him chip the ecu from my integra, works great! Ordered like 6 eproms with different 2steps and revlimits, they all work great!. John vega is a really nice person, you can go to the website and ask him questions and he is very helpful.
ive e-mailed him about twice, and he has helped me alot! i was about to buy a chip, but i'm still kinda... iffy about chips, since the reason my motor is being rebuilt is because of a chip (EBAY CHIPS FTL
).
so he's good then?

John's chips are much better than EBAY knockoff SKUNK2, MUGEN, JUN chips. I remember someone actually bought a knockoff EBAY Skunk2 or MUGEN chip and posted the specs. It was pretty scary.
Also, why the hell are you installing cams that you don't have specs for? Do you wanna drop a valve or smack a piston?

i know... they messed my motor up pretty bad
i know roughly how big they are, the guy i bought them for said they were buddyclub "stage2" cams, which i cant find on google. but he said they were slightly bigger than his ITR's. he had them on his gsr with stock valvtrain, and a slight tune, so theyre not big enough to where i'd have to go outa my way to get a full out dyno tune. hopefuly something small...
but once we have the head off, we're checking the lift with a dial indicator just to have a little more spec's.

That's cause the BC3 is their stage 1 and the BC4 is their stage 2

never thought of it. i just kept searching "buddyclub stage 2 cams" and only spec3, and spec4 kept coming up, but i never bothered to read the specs. i just figured people wanted some really big cams for their car...
ah, i got the specs for my cams, and did the compression calculator test, now i got all the specs for my motor, so i should have one kickass tune assuming John Vega is as good as you guys say he is, which im sure he is!
small question though, what EXACTLY is 2-step launch... someone explained it to me in a nutshell, but i'm still curious as how it works, and what not...

2-step launch is used to set your launch rpm for more consistant results. For example John set mine to 6k rpm. So when you are at a stop, put your car into gear, with the clutch press in, and even with the throttle floored, your motor will only rev to the set rpm, in my case 6k rpm. Then when you release the clutch your car launches at that set rpm. It's a way of having consistant launches and not bogging down cause you didn't give it enough gas, etc. Rather then trying to repeat your launching technique and rpms with the pedal at part throttle, you can just floor the gas pedal and get consistant launches everytime
