PS filling question
Hi, say my steering rack is empy along with my lines ( do to working on) and my power steering pump no longer works. If I just fill my reservoir will my rack fill at all or will I have to physically pull a line and fill the the rack?
Thanks.
Thanks.
You can refill the reservoir with Honda power steering fluid, then start the car and turn the steering side to side [lock to lock], then shut off the engine and recheck the fluid level. Repeat this a few times.
It is common for the fluid to foam somewhat on a 'new' fill up, and you may need to let the car sit for a few hours to let the air work out of the system.

If the pump is broken, what would be the point of adding fluid?
