Just removed powersteering pump will it affect anything?

Just removed powersteering pump will it affect anything?
I just removed my powersteering pump to make room for some charge pipes. I dont care about driving without powersteering, but my only concern is will driving without hte pump installe don teh car affect my steering gearbox or anything else?

yes overtime it will affect it. your rack was ment to have fluid around it to assist with ur steering. i have heard a couple of stories about racks failing after a year and a half without any fluid around it.

In the helm manual, it shows that the fluid does not lubricate the rack, its only to assist in steering. The gears in the rack are sealed from contact with PS fluid.
