Default CD deck in ashtrey slot in an integra?

i was wondering if anyone else had done this. and if so, how did you mount it. reason for me putting it there is so i could have a foldout screen. Thoughts, Inputs, Suggestions welcome. thanks

BTW, the big open gap is now covered with a double din ITR block-off plate.

just go buy an "L" bracket from like home depot. find a small bolt/screw that will thread into the back of the deck (where that little mounting hole is) and then mount the other side of the bracket to the metal cross beams/bars that are back there. if because the deck sits lower the bracket will not reach, you can always buy longer/larger "L" brackets and cut them and drill them to work. just one of these tightened enough should hold everything in very tightly and keep the deck from sliding out under acceleration

kenwood makes one that'll stick out a lil longer so it doesnt touch the ac vent so that way you dont have to modify the ash tray area

or use that aluminum plumbers tape stuff. the aluminum strips with the holes in it. i used some to secure my sub to my strut bar, worked grate. that way you dont have to mess with the length size issue, just cut to fit.

yea thats true it will be a pain in the *** to get out, i always end up scratching/cutting the crap out of my arms lol. yea the plumbers stuff is a good idea too, would probabaly work well to attach to the sides of the deck and then run back to the metal bars. i wish there was a way to just remove those side panels so you could actually see what you were doing straight on
