i am about to buy a header, but i don't know how much ground clearance there will be between the header and the concrete. my wife is driving my car everyday to work, and we don't have the best roads, and i am worried she will damage it on a speed bump, or pulling into a driveway..

my car is mildly lowered. how much clearance will i loose with a header.

 

more info, who makes it? not all "headers" are the same

 

i have a megan header and my hatch is lowered, with room to fit two fingertips in between the wheel and fender, and i can clear speed bumps just fine.

 

i am looking at the megan 4-2-1 in SS.

 

if u can put two fingers in between ur fender and ur tire u will be fine going over a lot of things. clearance will be fine

 

nope, no finger between tire and fender on the left side , but i can get one between on the passenger side. what do ya think. drag city.

 

she might not rip it off but denting it is a big possibility

 

Tearing it off, maybe not, but it is very possible she can "damage" it to say the least

 

If she drives anything like my girl, then you may want to raise it up. It seems like girls don't feel the same pain when you bottom out. You know you just hurt the cars feelings with that pothole, and she'll (the car) make you pay for down the road. lol

 

well maybe i will just hold off for a while.
