Please help asap!!!
I just got my car back together last Friday night and went to start it and nothing. The fuel pump wont prime and the main relay makes a humming noise. After searching on here for an answer, I came to the conclusion that it was the main relay. Ordered one form the dealer yesterday and it came in today. Put the new relay in and its worse now. The speedometer needle keeps jumping around. What should I do. The car is a 2000 civic ex w/ a built ls/vtec. As far as engine management goes, I am running the S300 for the first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well an update on my crying for wolf. It turns out it was the ground wire on the thermostate housing. The ground wire was on the housing but I forgot to tighten it in the midst of the late night scramble to get theh car running. As soon as I wiggled the ground wire the fuel pump came on and I heard the rail fill up with fuel. I built the engine and placed it into the car in my driveway on jack stands. I will never do that again. But thanks for the help and now I have a relay that I didn't need to buy from the dealer. So if anyone needs a main relay for a 2000 civic EX you know where to find one. Thanks
And on another note, I loaded the Hondata software on my dads laptop (cause I'm too poor to own one) and I can't comminuate with my car's computer. I have never used Hondata before so yea... I am slow on the computer skills. If I have any at all. Thanks
