Default Accelerometers / G sensors vs RPM? Also the Gtech, RSM, Power meter thread!

I have been looking into accelerometers/G force sensors that plot a HP /dyno style graph.

Such as GTECH Pro RR, Apexi RSM, Blitz Powermeter.. now the best seems to be the gtech, seeming as though u can download the graphs onto a PC for better analysis, rather than a crappy little screen like the Apexi and Blitz units..

But there are also g sensors that have a USB connection to plug into PC.
Now you can already put a header on a OBD0or1 honda ecu and log such things as RPM..
so why not some software that logs two com ports (one rpm and one g force)
and have say
RPM vs G
for a backyard dyno. and plot it

so u can do runs and mess with timing etc.

here is an example of a 2 way axis g unit

most are like 50-100USD and come with software/api's for easier coding

or does anyone else know of any other units that do HP graphs?
the gtech seems the best $ for functionality.. looks like crap though and no direct rpm connection :/

Raw G sensors (PLX for example) have two output voltages which you can tie directly into software like NepTune and program them in the software to show and graph the data right along side your regular ECU data, like RPM.

Anyone know how the "cigarette lighter" rpm pickup works? Sounds like a total crock to me..

Is it accurate enough to actually work?

It claims to be accurate, they actually dog on the stock system, claiming it can be 100-200rpm off while accelerating. They must believe theres to be more accurate then that.

I'm looking at getting one of these but i wonder how accurate the hp readings and 1/4 mile runs etc are going to be on the gtech RR
