6-7 psi....stock internals
i have a 93 ls and i want to run 6psi on stock internals, i was wondering if it is that safe or just a rebuild waiting to happen. Also i will be using an fmu
...I am also a bit confused about the whole resistor box to the injectors thing(if it even applies to that setup?)...i know that almost nobody on HT uses FMUs anymore but any info would help..I am broke and am just looking for a decent 40 to 50 horses...i don't need big power i just want a little more than the factory offered..is that too much to ask

If you're going to run stock injectors and a 12:1 FMU, you would need to add an inline fuel pump to support the high fuel pressure under boost. You would also need a Missing Link or check valves to keep the MAP sensor from seeing boost, and retarding your base ignition timing at the distributer would also be beneficial(or you could run a boost/timing retard box). You do not need a resistor box if you choose to go this route. You should also run plugs that are 1 step colder, and gap them to about .032" for that boost level.
Concerning the fuel management aspect, read over http://www.phearable.net/tech/....html
Ditch the fmu & missing link idea. :-)
