Default Revhard log mani, any grinding required?

My dilemma is this:
I'm coming into a turbonetics 60-1, stg5 .48a/r turbine side. I know with my current manifold it won't work.

I'm curious if it'll fit well on a revhard mani, whether the compressor will clear everything okay, etc. I know it's a/c friendly, and that's a big concern.

Any help would be appreciated.

FWIW I'll be selling a garrett t3/t4 .57trim, 2000* painted turbine side, copper painted compressor, 2000* painted log mani, and 2.5" downpipe in order to buy an appropriate manifold.

Yes. Assuming that you got the A/C compatible log manifold that uses the 5 bolt exhaust housing, (which was most of them). It will have a slightly rotated angle on the T3 flange w/ a T4 adapter (or vice versa). You may have to flip it around to the other side because of the larger T04S housing that you have.

i think you meant the non ac one? you could fit a pretty large turbo on the RH non ac manifold without grinding the block... there non ac manifold is the only that doesn't crack...

That's what I was refering to. The one the OP was talking about was the A/C compatible one, I believe.. So its either SEVERELY notch w/ the a/c one, flip it, or you may have the Non-A/C version.

So what I'm gathering is that its going to be pretty much impossible for me to run this 60-1 and expect to have a/c, right?

I wonder if there's any way to move the condenser forward, and flip the fan to a pusher......but those damn lines are in the way. Always wondered if I could use stainless lines for a/c lines, with appropriate fittings.....

hmm.

looks like I'll be looking into the non-a/c revhard mani for now.

You should be able to run a/c, but almost certain you'll have to grind some webbing off the block

Not only would have issues w/ grinding on the block, you'd have to use an additional head-flange in order to allow the larger circumference of the compressor housing. This was a problem for the CRX/EF chassis guys, which is why the "silver surfer" was developed.

I spotted Spoolin Performance's cast mani, and that looks good, as does their log mani. I think their log manifold might clear the block with a 60-1 but I'm not sure.

sent them a PM.

thats true, i might have used to have been one of there dealers, oh the things i could tell you about there operation... lol but yeah, the first gens were an exact drag copy those cracked, the second style was the current style and that was good but then next time they had some made the reduced the amount of metal being used in the cast to save money and **** started to crackalack like crazy, the only manifold left they have that doesn't crack is the b series NON ac and thats only becuase they still have some from the first batch laying around cause they hardly sold and the first batch was made thick as hell!!
