So my problem is that my car is getting no boost. This problem started happening all of a sudden today. When i give the car full throttle it just goes to 0 psi and stays there until i let go.

I already tried messing with my manual boost controller but there was no difference. The motor is a gsr. If anyone can help me with this problem i will greatly appreciate it.

 

Has the car left your driveway? Are you running a stock, restrictive cat/exhaust?

 

if this just started, the first thing you need to do is look for a boost leak. and make sure the turbo is in fact turning.

 

are you in neutral?

 

the car has been sitting for about 1 day because i was waiting to get it registered. The car currently has a high flow cat with a 2.5 exhaust. I tried it in every gear including nuetral and im still not getting any boost. Just checked all the vacum lines and everything looks good.

How do i check for boost leak and make sure the turbo is turning??

 

check all of the silicone couplers on your intercooler if one ripped or had a clamp slip off that would do it

 

you popped off a charge pipe.

100% truth. If you get "0" psi, that should be a good indication you have a massive boost leak. No matter what gear you try. What would make you think to try different gears?

Get it fixed because you're likely overspinning the turbo when trying to boost....

 

Yep, so i just looked and the charge pipe was off. So i put it back on and tightened it.
But now i have another problem, the pipe came right back off when i was in boost again. Does anyone know why this pipe keeps popping off?

 

are you using t-bolt clamps?

 

No, i am currently using regular stainless steel clamps. But i have been using them for awhile now so do you think that might be the problem?

 

another thing that helps prevent this from happening is having beaded edges on your intercooler pipes

 

This has happened to me way too many times. The source of this problem 99.9% of the time is a charge pipe off.
Oh and get yourself a set of Tbolts asap!
