Alright guys I've been having a little problem since friday. My car has been acting weird. It seems like when I hit vtec, ....it makes a weird noise , like small backfires. it sometimes happens when not in vtec also.
Then yesterday just got back from town. turned on into my street shifted at about 3K rpm from 2nd to 3rd the car tried dying on me?!

So I pushed the gas to rev it so it wouldnt die. then it stayed normal.

I made my oil change last week, oil is good. car seems to idle ok, but im wondering could it be my sparkplug/wires? power seems normal too, but when it backfires like that you can feel the car jerk a bit.

Check your grounds, make sure the map sensor is good.

 

Also mke sure you have no small vaccuum leaks and it couldn't hurt to check your plugs/wires

 

Make sure you have a good rotor button and distributor cap. This type of part failure can lead to all kinds of drivability problems. Always use factory Honda parts for a tune-up, Not using factory/low quality tune-up i.e. spark plug wires can create issues.

 

Ok thanks guys , think it has to do with my dizzy, It made the same noice last year when i did the swap now that I recall, ....but yeah factory honda parts is what i always buy ...

 

Ok so checked grounds, plugs wires, rotor/cap, everything is good,....but it still does the same thing,....need help I have no clue what it could be now...
