Default The A/C in our cars is supposed to suck.

So our factory AC is supposed to suck. My 05 civic takes 10-15 miles of driving to blow a little cold air on a hot day. It sucks. CHeck out this thread. Everyone has the same problem.

Btw, anyone find a fix to this?

no, R134a sucks as a refrigerant compared to R12, but since the R12 ban in the US, we're stuck with R134a, which is supposed to be better for our atmosphere, but theres some speculation as to the truth behind that.

The a/c in my 2005 civic EX works perfectly fine. While the car doesn't get super cold instantly, it does make the car quite cool and comfortable on hot days.

mine works right after I start it up on a hot day...not super cold but cooler than the 95 degrees outside. I have noticed that if you are sitting in traffic tho and not moving it tends to loose the coldness until you starting going again.

i'd say your a/c system has a problem if it takes 10-15 miles before it blows cold air....

if i have the a/c cranked full blast, it will put out cold air withing a few minutes
