Oh Great swap god, help me out (B18b into 90 DX)
The car started out as a 1990 Civic DX (DPFI & automatic too!). I've swapped out the drivetrain for a '96 B18b, a YS1 from a 92 Teg and I'm using an obd0 PR4/dizzy.
The problem is that I can't get any spark or fuel. I've wired everything up correctly (I've check many times now!)
I've wired the four injectors (OBD2 style, no resistor box) up to the two YEL/BLK wires that were previously used for the 2 DPFI injectors, but the fuel pump doesn't turn on unless I run a separate wire from A15 to the injectors. Then I get constantly powered fuel pump instead of the two second priming when the key is in the on position. Even then I still have no spark.
Thanks!

did you wire the two injectores from the dual point to 2 injectors. then run two more wires from the ecu. then 2 more wires to the distributor. Make sure you do the complete
mpfi conversion with the dual original engine harness. Any other harness will not work. u will have problems galore. Also use a pr4 ECU

That's what I've done. Wired up two of the new injectors to the old harness and two directly to the ECU. I've also added the two blue wires to the distributor and I'm using a PR4.
I have all four injectors grounding to the two original wires from the dual point injectors.

Hmm, I thought I did do it right. I was following these instructions;

Just for clarification, since I'm using 96+ (obd2) injectors I do NOT wire them up to a resistor box, correct? I would wire the ground side of each of the new injector to the two YEL/BLK wires that were previously the ground side of the DPFI injectors?

I've done some more testing & checking. The ECU is not grounding terminal 8 on the Main Relay for the fuel pump for it's 2 second priming (or when I want it to run). Also the ECU does not send out the ignition signal from the white wire at B17 to the distributor. I've heard that it's supposed to show a red light for a second when you turn the car on and it doesn't do that either. Is my ECU pooched?? I would think the chances are pretty slim that there would be an ECU malfunction.

All your electronics have to be the same its that simple. You can't mismatch, it just won't work.

if you want to use a 96 obd2a engine you need to get the conversion harness for obd0 to obd2a. and then use the obd2a ecu for that engine. You also could convert all the electronics to obd1 and go that route, it would probably be easier this way. Then get the obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and run a obd1 pr4 ecu (92-93 teg) or obd1 p75 (94-95) ecu. make sure your injectors and dizzy are obd1, and no you do not need a resistor box.

Well, I finally got things sorted. I'm not 100% sure what the problem was. I just bought another harness and started the wiring all over. It's up and running with obd0 electronics and with the 96 (obd2) injectors. Thanks for the help though, I'm sure I'll need more in the future!
