Default To mini me or not to mini me, that is the question!

Ok enough gayness lol...
To make a long story short, i have been talking to a cool guy who has a honda shop in my area, he has a vtec head and will help do everything to get it working on my car. he even has a hookup for parts like the gaskets and stuff so it will be pretty cheap. the only reason i am posting this here is because my block has 202,600 something miles on it. It seems to be in pretty good shape and almost never ever gives me any problems. What do you think i should do, buy it and wait for a rebuild or a new block, buy it and install it and hope for the best?
{edit} also, what is involved in the rebuild and how much does it cost usually?

With that many miles a rod bearing could spin at any time.
Sohc vtecs go for around 400-600 around here, so just save up that and put the whole lower mileage motor in.

I would at least throw some new rings and rod bearings in it if you are pulling the head off.

you see, you guys need to convince my friend that these cars are'nt a piece of ****, cause my 90si only has 150,000, but every time i have a little problem, such as a main relay thing, or bad ground, ...my friend (who is'nt a honda guy, he has a jeep cherokee), always says "man, you need to get rid of that car while you can, its a piece of ****",...........it seems some people only like brand new cars with worry free problems
