Default Gear oil leaking from tranny

OK, I will tell you what happened. I was driving down a road that I normally dont drive down. I was going about 35-40 mph. The road was uneven and the car hit it hella hard. I have a 91 hatch with b16. So Im at work now, I park it **** no problems. My cousin works with me, he comes to me and states hey your car is leaking hella oil. Im like what, **** I go look, it not motor oil, its the sythetic tranny oil.

So I take a look, its not leaking where to motor and tranny bolts up, It looks like its leaking from where the tranny bolts togehter in the middle. Nothing looks broken. I was thinking it might of just got tweaked, I was going to tighten up all the bolts.

I dont know what to do, can it be fixed!!! I was also thinking of taking apart the tire and axle on the passenger side and losen all the bolts and retighten them.

Any help would be greatly appriciated... Man Im getting hella fustrated with this car...

its either a loose bolt or you have a crack somewhere........

when you hit, did you bottom out? did it feel like you hit under your engine bay?

It might be that the hondabond weakened in between the case halves. You may want to check your axle seals as well.

Try cleaning the oil off, driving for a bit and see if you can determine exactly where the leak is.

i dont think that bottoming out your tranny case would losen the bolts...

i think you have a crack you might not be seeing.

blast it with break clean, put some 10w30 in there, get out the saftey glasses and jump under the car and see EXACTLY where its coming from.

wizco has a great point, if u bottomed out good, you might have jerked the trans a bit and the half axle might have jumped just enough to start leaking if you park on the "right" angle.

Yeah I think I bottomed out, but I dont think the tranny hit the ground.. I think I jerked the hell out of it. So if the seal was broken I would need to take the tranny out unbolt it and reseal it. Then bolt it right back.. Or it might be from the axle and it seems like it running down to the bottom of the tranny. I hope it an axle seal. Do they sell those at like a kragen..

just an update, the car did bottom out on a bolt on the tranny, and now has about 4 cracks in it surrounding that bolt. I need to get a new tranny, but we put the metal epoxy on it and seems to not be leaking anymore. Just to hold me up until I get a new tranny.
