Default WHICH ECU 4 TYPE R IN EF????

somebody who is pretty good with honda tech stuff told me that the reason why my c5 wont idle perfect and runs lean is because i need the real type r ecu or one chipped to type r specs?? is this true>?>its obd1 right now im running a chipped p06 and it seem like all or most of the power is there when i drive. i have no check engines and my AICV seems to be workin .. the car does idle good after it has sat and idled for a lil while..drops too around 900.... sometimes the rpms lightly surge and sometimes they just drop verrry slowly after 1500 or so. any info will help thxx.. oh ya and when i lightly plug the AICV hole in the TB it idles down perfect>

you can use a P73 ITR ECU with a jumper harness or just get hondata for your current ECU and tune it. If you get hondata and tune it, i'll run 10x better than with the ITR ECU

OK but you do agree that the chipped p06 is running it bunk?? ya id probly go hondata . how much you think?? i didnt want to go obd2 cause the probs and that would mean two jumper harnesses and that would be quite the cluster f**k

so what's wrong with a chipped P06? i used one on a stock 94 gsr swap, obd1 converted and chipped with a p72 basemap. never got it to run the way i wanted it to though. of course it blew up (jumped timing) before i had a chance to fix.

but now i'm rebuiling to a poor man's type r. what do u think about a p06 with either eCtune or hondata s200? i wanna try my luck with a 2.0 with itb's and around 11-12.5 compression. whats a relatively cheaper way to effectively run a setup like this?

my po6 ecu im running is a civic dx ecu.. the chip is skunk 2. but supposively that ecu will work if the chip is meant to run a type r obd1 . Im either gona go with a new type r made chip or just get hondata... does anyone know if i could solve my idling proble with a vtec AFC ???...i wonder how hard the hondata is to tune by yourself?
