ok i did a search and i foudn that the CX hatch weighs 2094 and the Si hatch weighs 2326. And now my questions is why does the Si hatch weigh more. I know because the gas tank is bigger but why does it weigh more and what can i do to lose some pounds off the car......thanx

 

sunroof,motor,A/C, Power steering,wheels,muffler,brakes,swaybar, Just alot of stuff adds up

 

sway bar? well im taking the ac off, and im getting hx wheels. but what are the things that are heavier and how much do they weigh?.....thanx

 

ANything that is different from the CX is more weight.

Power windows. Power mirrors. I mean anything that is different adds weight. The sunroof alone is about 40 lbs. (brackets included)

and if i change the piping to 2 1/2 will that make the car heavier or lighter?.....thanx

I'm not sure if the 92-95 SI comes with power windows.

 

i had a 92 si and it didnt have power steering so what are the things that make weight that i can take off and around how much do they weigh?...thanx alot i need to know asap...thanx and who ever needs a vin number to be run i can do it for them i got a carfax account

dude, its not that big a deal

buy whatever car you want and take out whatever YOU DONT NEED.

Personally I would get the CX and not have to worry about taking stuff out. Then buy a dohc swap and call it a day.
