i have a 96 civic hatch with a 99 si engine/tranny swap aka the b16a2. im running stock everything internaly and just a apexi header into a apexi ws2 exhaust and a top fuel cf intake for mods. my ecu is a gsr p72 with the stock dx harness moded for the b16. my question is my car cuts out when it feels like it at higher rpms. it never did it before but now it does it usally around 5-6000 rpm. i heard that my vtec solenoid was going out so i unplugged vtec and it still does it. what could it be? anything with fuel or my ecu? it runs great and idles fine no burning oil or anything like that just cuts out sometimes. i changed gas awhile back i was running 91 oct then i went to 88 cuz it was cheaper so it hought maybe that was it soi changed back and it still does it. then i thought my fuel system was [freak]ed up so i cleaned it out and it still deos it. i have no idea what it could be please help me cuz boost is next and i cant boost it till i fix the problem. any help would be great thanks...

maybe check spark plugs? they could be dirty?
