Turbo d info needed
looking to boost my sohc zc, nothing major just want a boosted daily dseries. not looking to go over the top or run at the drag strip every weekend. want to make a dependable set up that sutes my needs as a daily driver. was thinking 3-5psi daily and 8-10psi when i feel its necessary. i dont street race i just want to make this zc more enjoyable for my own needs.
any info is more than appreciated, was hoping i might get some insight on the do`s and donts of turboing a d through some of yalls past experiences.
looking to keep on stock internals bottum end etc as much as possible while producing a good amount of power. not trying to make a monster but simply something that will catch you off guard if and when i feel the need to do so.
would like to get somewhere close to 200whp more or less.
could use a list of all needed parts for the job and would like to look into a intake manifold that isnt oem that could sute my needs...throttle body etc
as it sits right now:
- New JDM ZC Vtec motor(1.6L vtec) - ~56k on it
- STR Fuel rail...unknown size injectors...
- AEM short ram intake
- Flat Black 4-1 heade - high flow cat - Tsudo N1 catback exhaust with test pipe
- New wp and timing belt and radiator.
- Chipped p06 with p28 basemap chrome 5k vtec 7500 rev
- Ex Trans with Centerforce Dual Friction clutch Pressure plate, to bearing Stage 2 - 7.5lbs flywheel
- Aftermarket water pump
-short shift
-k sport full coil overs
-Blox Lca`s

You can run the stock longblock with intake just throw on some bigger injectors. I'd get DSM 450s or bigger.
Get a .42/.48 T3 turbo, they're cheap and will get you to 200whp easy dont buy chinese either.
Dont buy a cheap chinese manifold either.
and lastly get a good tune.
I daily drive my d16z6 (same motor as yours pretty much) at 10psi at sea level on a garrett 42/48 making about 220whp through a jdm zc trans. It runs very strong and has made a number of B's look pretty stupid!
I'm running out of fuel (stock fuel pump) on evo8 560cc injectors and running out of fuel in 4th gear so i need a bigger pump, when I do that i'll crank the boost up to 12-14psi and shoot for 240whp and wait until the head gasket explodes!
