what would i need to do to change a p28 ecu from automatic to manual or is there a difference??

this has been covered a few times...

remove RP17 and RP18.
Jumper RP18

It's possible that it will work without removing and jumpering RP18, but I like to do it just to be sure I will have no problems.

Actually Relix not to cross your info, but i dont think it will work without jumpering RP18 without throwin CEL 17 for Automatic Tranny Lock... Plus its 10x easier by removing it since it gives u an open slot for a resistor "or a peice of wire lol"... But good info tho...!!

some of the versions of boards don't seem to care if it's a jumper or the resistor.
But like I said, I always use a jumper in position RP18, that way I'm sure it will have no problems.

CEL17 = VSS
CEL19 = A/T lock up solenoid valve A/B
