i wanted to ask if its ok to convert an automatic p28 into manual..i found one that is automatic for sale for $50 and said it will be a manual for xtra $10

Yes, remove RP17 and it's manual. Works fine.

You can remove the resistor at rp17 with a small pair of snippers.
