Default A/C hose problem..

went to recharge my air yesterday, as i was putting the **** in it..i noticed that it began to leak from one of the hoses. The hose has a small pin hole on the actual metal part of it from rubbing up against the cooling fan. I took the hose off, cleaned the area well, and tried some JB WELD thinking it should hold it. I put the hose on today and it held the frion but was leaking just a lil bit. Im wondering what are peoples experiences with jb weld. Is there a possibility that i didnt let it dry long enough.. should i scuff it up and apply some more? im really trying to avoid buying this hose its like 120 bucks. Let me know!

my personal option would be to replace the hose...although you really dont want to cause of the cost...rigging it with JB weld might work...might work well for a while in fact...but if it doesnt...your chancing that on that 100 degree day...that lets go and leaks all your 134a out and compressor oil...then your looking at a price for a new compressor cause the one you had burnt up...which after that i am sure you would replace the hose cause you dont want that happening again....soo there is the cost of the compressor and hose...

Thats just me...if it was my car that would be my solution

but i have JB welded gas tanks, lawn motor engine blocks and small stuff...worked great..but never anything that is under a high pressure such as your A/C system...so as far as it working on that...i am not sure...like i said before..its under a fair amount of pressure..i would be very hesitant to put it on..
