Ok here is an overview of my car so you can get what I am looking for. 92 civic si body with a ls/vtec engine. the wiring harness in the engine bay has either been cut or replaced with one that does not have a o2 sensor wire. now for my car to run correctly I need to have this o2 sensor wire. So I am wondering if there is a way to connect an o2 sensor to the ecu with out going into the engine wiring harness or do I need to just buy a new harness? Any other input would be great, like where can I actually find where the O2 sensor should be going into the engine harness?

well you can find the ecu pin out and wire it from their. but whoever had it before must have cut it out for something maybe wideband. who knows. try adding your own wire from sensor to the pinout on the ecu where it should go and see if that works it should but doesnt look oem of course but it could work right? lol

 

find the loose wires see if they are just cut or if he completely removed from harness. I think I got an extra O2 plug on a harness I could ship ya as a courtesy

 

Ok I have tried to find the wires on the harness already and can not find them. Is there a certain spot that they enter the cabin or a certain spot that I should be looking at besides near the back of the engine?

 

so nobody else has any input on this one?

 

towards the "back" of the engine facing firewall - I can't tell you where they run from on the harness but it should typically be back there hanging - loook for wires taped off or a connector broken or missing. Might get under the car and look up like you were going to check the rear bracket
