Default a/c compressor

the other day my a/c went out on me in the middle of the day so the next day i bought 3 cans put them in and had a/c for about 15 minutes until i went in the resturant ate came back out and no a/c again. i checked the low side line with the gauge and it was back to empty when i just filled it to the green. my friend said i need a new compressor is this true?

If it's an Accord 1994-1997 it could be :

#1 which is the VALVE SUB-ASSY., SAFETY

If it blows due to too much pressure in the line all the freon will blow right out the front of the compressor.

To see if that's the problem piece is the coolant leaking down the front of the compressor onto the black subframe piece? If it is most likely that's what's wrong.

Yeah just see if it's leaking on the front of the compressor, and there's a fan right there so I'd imagine it could blow it towards the interior enough to get a whiff of it.
