Default F**ked idle after installing turbo.

First off, let me start with what I have...

1995 Civic VX
D16z6
Vortech 8:1 FMU
Walbro 255
Stock Map Sensor
Missing Link
Greddy Kit (tdo4h)
Greddy Boost Gauge
Greddy Type-S BOV
5psi of boost

Right before the car was turbo'd I was having idling issues, replaced the IACV and fixed it. Now after turboing it, the car is idling crazy again. Initially it just idled high, when i'd start it up it'd run normal for about a second, then jump up to ~1400rpm and stay there whenever at idle. Now today it start off at ~1400 like before but after driving it it will stay at about 2000 rpm and if I rev it up it will drop down, and idle speratically (from ~750-1500) back and forth about 3 times, then go down to ~1400 again. I tried resetting the ecu by pulling the fuse, with no avail. I tried flipping around the missing link, with no avail, and tried removing the missing link, and just having the map sensor itself, with no avail. Can anyone help please!!

Edit: I drove it a little more, and the idle started sticking, it would idle at like 1500 at startup, then once i drove it it would stick at 3000. Used carb cleaner to test for IM leaks.. There was a leak at the TB so I made a new gasket with gasket paper and that fixed the leak. Now its idling at the line JUST above 0 but when I boost it goes back to 1500 and stays there till I kill the car, i plugged the holes in the TB to see if either of the IACVs were bad, and it didnt affect the idle much. When I unplug the TPS it drops idle down to about 1000 and runs like dodo, so the TPS is working. The idle screw on the TB is set all the way in, so I can't set the idle any lower.

This is my exact problem when I had idle issues. Sounds like your TPS, the other sensor crucial to your car's idle. Take care of that, and your idle ought to even out.

So I need to replace the TPS? Where is that located and would I be safe buying a used one or should I buy that new from the dealer/other parts store?

TPS is located on the side of the throttle body facing the firewall. It's just a little sensor port. You should be able to spot it if you look for the one with the diagonal plug.

also, make sure you hooked everything up right (if unhooked at some point), you could be experiencing a vacuum leak.

i dont know about d series but on both of my b20 and b18c1 the tps is riveted on so i just took a dremmel and cut a slit in it to make a flat head screw out of it..

order a replacement for that for sure, but in the meantime you can use some gasket making material (as a temporary fix) just make sure you dont get the material in any of the iacv/fitv inlets.
