HELP!!!! JUST PUT IN NEW CAMS EXHUST COMING OUT OF INTAKE
I PUT IN NEW CAMS AN BDL GEARS I HAVE THE LINES MATCHED UP IN THE MIDDLE TO THE INSIDE AND THE CRANK HAS THE WHITE DOT LINED UP TO THE COVER FOR TDC I CRANK IT THERE AREN'T ANY SOUNDS THAT ARE CATASTROPHIC BUT EXHAUST GAS IS COMING OUT OF THE INTAKE SO IM ASUMEING THAT THE INTAKE A EXHAUST ARE MIXED UP
alright figured out that the gers were not lined up on the right lines so i changed that it started and ran perfect.....took it for a test drive down the street ran great felt awesome...............found a nice safe straight to hit vtec kicked amazing then bucked back.............engine is off and just spinning when i try to start..............pulled into a parking lot and ripped off thevalve cover to discover that the exhaust cam had snapped in 4...
found a few pieces and pulled them out and then started to recover the engine, i still had my type r cams in the trunk so i ripped off the cam caps and fitted the type r again, while getting the timing and tension the belt kept slipping off because the exhaust cam wouldnt spin freely.... took the caps off again to find burrs on a couple from the snapped cam before got something to file them down and put it together again now it's running horrible but surprisingly no check engine light i have to hold the gas to keep it running, i checked the timing multiple times and everything lines up like it should i was able to drive it home with a friend following from behind made it up a hill in the yard and now i contemplate weather i can fix it and do i want to continue with the car at all my spirit is destroyed and if i could i might cry i have severe burn on my back and my back is just killing me a year and a half deployment to iraq with my body armor wasn't good at all for me.........i don't know what to do

that was some maddvtec yo!! J/K...but it seems you just ruined your motor with those cams. And I can't believe you installed your other set of cams w/o checking to see if there were still any pieces from your snap cam...and your still driving it.
no i did take out the pieces of the broken cam and put them together to make sure there were none left, i think i just bent the valves and have found a pretty good type r head complete for a good price so ill have to take off the b16 head and check out the block then but it's still sitting in the driveway collecting pollen its almost yellow now was phantom grey damn i miss driving it already
