Well, in the rebuild pages from IN VTEC for the LSD and final drive, there is a gold washer on the reverse idle gear shaft. I am asking if this is needed because I have been looking through pics and pages of B series trannies and some dont have them and in IN VTEC's pics, I see it there.

I am rebuilding a GSR tranny and mine does not have one .

So cliff notes:

Is the reverse idle gear shaft washer needed?

What years have them or do all B series models have them?

While it cause any damage if I dont have it there?

I went to Honda today and found out that the 99-00 SI trannies do not have one for it. I thought I could cross reference the washer but no luck...
