Default 2016 ILX repair/shop manual

Where I can find the 2016 Acura ILX repair manual?

Have one and like to learn more about its DCT transmission. Looking at parts diagram it looks a little weird and confusing to me. Have a main shaft with 2,4,6 & 8 gears; a secondary shaft with 1,3,5,7 & idle gear; and a countershaft with 1,3,5 & 7; plus an additional idle shaft withan idle gear and reverse gear. The countershaft with 2,4,6 & 8 is missing.

Also, instead of having the clutch packs attached to the 2 inputs shaft (with one of the input shafts hollow), it does have a torq converter to couple engine and transmission.

On the ILX DCT the clutch packs are on what (we) can say its the back of the tranny (looking to LH side of car). The main and secondary shafts, each have both an inner and outer shafts, which I think the clutchs engage the inner with the outer shaft, instead of coupling the engine with input shafts as in other DCT's. (ILX DCT have a torq converter to do so.) Also there is a 3rd clutch pack for reverse.

After being a couple of hours looking at it I have a guess idea of how it works, but maybe here there is already an expert on it.

I'm going to have to move this to the last gen civic forum as the ILX shares a lot more with the 9th gen then the 10th gen civic.

ILX is pretty much a 9th gen civic just body is slightly different... engine is the same as the 9th gen Si except for that they stopped making them manually and have a DCT.

I think you should leave it here because 2016 ILX is another version of the 10th gen civic.
Does have a K24 but the platform is the one of a 10th gen civic, body is the same with cosmetic changes, but its direct injection, and have similar design and technology.

Its not like the 8th gen and the RSX that were different cars, they are the same with body parts modified

In essence is another 10th gen civic with an "A" emblem. Electronics and changes in parts like suspension and brakes are the ones of a 10th gen civic..

But if you are the moderator...

You are right it's not like the 8th gen but it's a lot like the 9th gen and not the 10th gen!

The ILX isn't another version of the 10th gen civic... it's platform is based off the 9th gen civic platform. This is why it's in this section because it shares a lot more with the 9th gen civic.
