Default Nitto 555R's, your experiences with it?.........

1. 60 ft. times?
2. psi?
3. burnout after water box or not?
4. I know the BFG's are better, but I gotta work with what I have

EDIT: just added more a more recent 60' time
...still need more practice launching with a small turbo

hooked pretty good, launched at 4,500 no spin and threw my change in the back seat

yae, dont heat those up.... I am going to put the pressure at like 18-20. I am going to launch the car at 5200 and see what happens. It is a 92 hatch/B18C1/I/E/AFC/Clutch, I am shooting for 2.0-2.1 60's. I have 5-way tokicos and ground controls too.I have the skunk2 springs, but not going in this time

Not arguing, but I just followed the FAQ from Nitto's website. Here's a quote...

"To get the most out of your drag radials, we recommend doing a mild burnout to properly heat the tires. The most important thing to remember is that the optimum operating temperature for the drag radial is 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The optimum inflation pressure varies per application. We recommend starting at 20 psi and then tuning it from there. Be sure to never drop below 15 psi, or exceed the maximum inflation pressure."

1.9s and 2.0s @ 15psi on 2000lb car 2.0s-2.2s @20psi on 2600lb car
turned over in water box, pull out and heat tires. 2nd gear burnout in 2000lb car, 1st gear burnout in 2600lb car.

i went to the track this week, first four times no burn out 14.3's2.2 60ft, two more runs, small burn out 14.1's 2.1 60ft, i'd say do a small burn out
