ok so my buddy has a 90 civic hb with the 99civic si motor swap.. he was getting vtec then he threw a check engine light. so that means no vtec.. but how the hell do you check the code on the obd-0 someone told me a while ago about a paper clip or somthing like that. anyone have an idea?

yup get a small wire or paper clip....around on top of the ecu you should see a hidden blue harness pull it out and put what ever that ur using...paper clip or wire stick it in and turn car on acc and look at how many times so n so...!

i have an 89 civic hatch with a b16a obd-0.
i didn't have to use the paper clip. there's a light on the ecu and it will blink to indicate the ecu code. long blink = 10, short blink =1.
