alrite i already searched on this .. and i asked on turbod16 but i wanna see what everyone says on here.
first of all i just recieved my fast turbo vacuum mani. my turbo isnt installed yet but it will be soon. anyway this is how i was originally going to route everything, but some ppl say its not the best way, and i would like to konw the best way to hook up my vacuum mani, wastegate w/ 7 psi spring, and bov
i was going to T off my brake booster line, then run the other line to the vacuum mani. from my vacuum mani i was going to connect my bov, wastegate, and boost gauge.
some ppl told me first of all not to tap into the brake booster.. how else would i even hook up the vacuum mani??? and is anything wrong w/ tappin the brake booster line??
and secondly a lot of ppl have different opinions on wastegate vacuum routing. ppl were telling me to mount the wastegate line directly to the turbo housing... i'd have to tap my turbo housing to do that and i dont really want to do that. ppl also said if i hooked it up to my vacuum mani i'd get boost spike.
what should i do? to make it easy on myself hooking everyting to the vacuum mani seems like the best way to do this.
and another thing, i read on a previous thread that when you hook up ur wastegate directly to ur turbo housing, ur getting the psi before the intercooler which decreases psi. so then my wastegate w/ a 7psi spring would be opening at 7 psi before the intercooler, and then after the intercooler there may only be 5-6 psi going into my engine, i DO NOT want that to happen, 7psi is low enough for me i dont want to sacrifice any lower psi. so what do you guys think is the best way to hoook all this up?
