i have 2000 gsr im planning to turbo it, just got a quick question, which rims size is good for turbo, i was thinking about 16 but does depends on tires or should i go 17s
The short answer is: whatever you can get decent traction with. Depending on how much power you're making, you might find traction to be an issue with the typical low-profile tires you would need to run on 16-17"+ wheels.
I personally wouldn't go any larger than 15" rims on a civic/teg. Just to goddy imho. Also, you should remember that the larger the rim the more force will be required to overcome the inertia of that rim (more mass = harder to get up to speed). For my dd tires I have a set of goodyear f1 gs-d3's (185/50/15's if i remember correctly) on some rota rnr's and for my track/"special occasion" tires I have M&H dot street strips (235/60/14's) on some stockie 14" rims.
I know you asked about rim size, but tire size should also be a consideration. GL.
