I have a b18c in my 00 civic. my engine has been sputtering/ hesitant/jerky on idle and acceleration for the past few months, it doesnt happen all the time but it seems to becoming more frequent recently. I have changed the fuel filter, put new oem ngk plugs in, new oem wires, has a two year old distro cap, I have cleaned all the grounds and replaced the old battery terminals, and I have added injector cleaner additives 3 times, and iso-heat gas treatment for water in the gas. But I am still having this problem. check engine light is not coming on. anyone have any thoughts or ideas? much appreciated. Thanks

 

mine was doing that too, i spend money on tune up didnt do any good till i checked my oil, i was really low so i put some oil in and it stopped sputtering i dunno if its ganna help but mine stop after i added oil and clutch fluid =] i was low on it too cuz mine would sputter at 4rpm threw 7 and 8 or sometimes at 6 to 8 dunno you can try to check tho but mine stopped when i added oil and the clutch fluid

 

my oil level is good, I always change it evry 2k-3k. I havent checked my transmission levels recently. whats the best way to check that? I know when I first got my motor I went through a bunch of axels on the passenger side, when the axels started going bad they would slip and it felt like the motor was sputter, maybe thats my problem again.
