Engine started knocking tonight
a little background.
Last week clutch went out, and I put in a new clutch.
This week I got a oil change, went from the chevron oil my dad used, to Royal Purple (about 2-3 days ago).
Tonight the engine started knocking 2k+, and when Id be braking, the oil pressure light would come on.
Its a jdmf22b so theres no knock sensor. Any clue if the knocking is related to the oil change (im not sure how), or what could be wrong? thanks

No I stopped driving it, it came on 2 stop signs before my house.
also it would like fade on lightly under braking, and go away when not....
any ideas? I'm scared as hell to even turn it on

No overheating, it was too dark to check the oil. Im going to check it this morning. Could something done during an oil change, cause knock? While replacing plugs and filters and whatnot?
Oil level seemed to be perfect, there was not a drip of oil on the ground, so no external leak. I decided to turn the car on, idle it, and give it a test rev.... i noticed knocking mostly between 2-3/3.5k rpm and it died off after that, i decided to slow rev it again, just to see exactly where ont he powerband it knocked (if not everywhere), and I actually didn't notice a knock that time.
Anyone have any thoughts? I've had some **** of the run luck the last 2 weeks
500$ on clutch
Oil change
Oil changers fucked up my front two tires, 200$ for 2 tires
And now this...
I could really use just some pointing too, so I dont do a loop around. thanks

I'd say the "oil changers" screwed up somehow, or they put really dirty oil in your motor. Does the oil look clean or dirty? Does the oil have a strange smell or texture to it?

It's my oil, I went to the NAPA auto parts, and bought 4 qts of royal purple... its clean, ill check the smell though. I'm just wondering if maybe they forgetten to tighten something properly, or something, if oil could have gotten where it doesnt need to be, and thats causing the misfiring? I'm really pretty clueless when it comes to troubleshooting car problems
What motor? H22? They typically take 5.5 quarts......Not that 4 quarts would be too low, but still. Do you have oil around your drain plug? Did you change the filter as well?
My guess is LMA's are starting to go bad or already have. I highly doubt it's rod or main journal clearance. Not often to honda bearings go pad. I also doubt it's piston slap! LMA's will make a knocking/popping/ticking sound between 2000 and 3500 rpms and the sound will go away once your past that in the rev range! Kinda leads to the misfiring since your valves probably aren't opening and closing properly!
**edit** then again I just read you've got a jdmf22b so I don't know if they have LMA's but that's what was making noise on my motor, scary loud too!
