Default 99-00 front end conversion on a 96 civic

First things first. I already searched the FAQ forum and tried searching on the regular forum so please dont flame. I already know that u need the headlights bumper fender and hood to do the conversion. I want to know what else i need and how to do it. If u have pics that would be greatly appreciated

you should be ok with those parts, but if you wanna go the extra step. you can go a buy a core support and replace you old one with the new one, so that everything fit in snug and perfect. but it's up to you.

on the 99-00 bumper there are 2 outter holes seperate from the grill holes. They won't line up with the 96-98 radiator core support. you will beed to modify the 99-00 bumper a little bit and drill in new holes once you get everything lined up. you'll see....

There is a DIY for this that explains how to do it without the core support. Really you don't need it. It's not worth spending the extra money and work. Just get the parts mentioned, and when you go to install them, you will see exactly where you need to cut slits in to make the bumper fit. Not a big deal at all.

what could have happed with your car is that u bought a 96 civic and it was previously moded for the 99 front and when the peron sold the car he put the 96 front back on and gave it to you like that. Because there is no way it lines up perfectly on the first shot.

http://www.jdmcarboy.com/index...28220

that website has 00 front end conversions for 96 exact bolt on granted it needs a paint job unless you have a black car already and it has a list on what is included direct bolt on all the work is done you just need to take off yours and put those on..

They are just small slits near the grill...Not visible from the outside of the car. It is really not a big deal. Just buy the 99-00 hood, bumper, grill, and fenders. When you go to install them you will see what I'm talking about, fix it, and finish the job.

no it had the 98 core support, I just had to d rill 2 holes one on each side of the grill, and just play with it for awhile, I don't remember, everything, I put it on 5 years ago, but I know I wouldn't drill out a bunch of welds, take out a radiator, condensor, and a/c lines, fans and weld a new core support, and put everything, back together, when by the looks of my front end, it's deffinetly not neccesary.
