Neutral Safety Switch?
1992 Honda accord, Auto tranny: Every now and then my car will not start. it cranks but does not start. When this happens a green segment light around the "D4" indicator on the transmission shift indicator flashes. Thinking it might be the shift lever isn't properly seated I've attempted moving the shift lever from "Park" to other positions, then back to "Park", but this has no effect. This only happens after after the car has been driven recently. It has never happened on a "cold" start. If I wait ten or fifteen minutes, it starts up. Could it be the Neutral safety switch? Might there be two legs to the switch, one for cranking and the otherfor ignition? Is there an adjustment I can make or should it be replaced? If not the neutral safety switch what else might cause this to happen?
