Default Ignition bypass, Push button and aux switch?

Hey guys.

My family has a 99 honda that was recently stolen and joyridden by some druggies. Got it back, they slammed ignition with a screw driver and pulled it out. Now the bottom white part of the ignition is on the opposite side and you can twist with the tip of a any key to start it.

Im pretty car savy, I've maintained my euro cars but haven't touched a civic.

I've seen the push button start installed in these cars and was thinking about puting a kill switch and a push button start and a AUX switch..

Was thinking I'd be able to totally get rid of the tumbler and go with 3-4 switches and push button.
Hidden kill switch, that would kill the whole car.
I'd have a switch to turn on AUX mode (wouldnt start the car, but would make the radio, power windows and stuff like that usable when kill switch is turn to on)
A start switch so that you'd have to turn to on so the push button can be engaged.
then a push button start.

Is this possible or am I over thinking this?

Any help with links would be great too. Thank you in advanced.

Default Re: Ignition bypass, Push button and aux switch?

I used to do this and all you need to do is have the first switch power the aux circuit and the second switch, the second switch power the ignition side and have a intermittent button for the starter. that way either of the switches will kill the ignition in an emergency. the button I would wire off the first switch so you can turn the engine over without ignition. either use heavy duty switches or have them power relays as that's a LOT of current running through the switches, for longevity and better switch selection i would chose the relayed option.
