I used to run OEM Honda filters back in the day. I would always get the one that said Made in USA, which were made by Filtech.

But for the past 6 years I've been using an STP oil filter changed every 3K miles. It costs $3-$4 at AutoZone. My car has 265K miles on it now and is still running strong.

I've been using the S2K oil filters without any problems on my 2001 GSR. In fact, I just did an oil change!

No you're wrong. My 85 civic uses a different oil filter.

I've started buying my Valvoline MaxLife oil at Wal-Mart, because it's way cheaper in the 5-quart jugs. I won't touch the Fram oil filters, though. I wish they carried STP because I have to get those from AutoZone.

I use a mobil 1 oil filter. Never tried switching to the s2k one tho. I was gonna do it once and the filter was smaller in length than what I was using so i said "F That" LOL.

And I thank wal-mart for finally carrying mobil one oil filters. Now I don't have to buy my oil at wal-mart and the filter at autozone, I get them both at wal-mart

Amsoil filters are awesome. WIX and Purolators showed good results. Purolator is the cheapest of the bunch, so that's what I'd recommend, and it out-performed Mobil1, and other more expensive filters. I can buy them at Pepboys for around ~$4-5. I always used to run OEM and actually at this last oil change, I had one lying around, so I used it, but on the next change, Puralator will go on.
