Default quick Oil Filter question....

I just put a honda oil filter on my car and noticed it was made by honeywell. Is this is a good filter to be using or no? If not, what should I get, I have heard good things about K&N as well as the S2000 filter.

If your doing 3000 mile oil changes, you are FINE, no power increase, with a Honda one, or a Napa Silver oil filter. Check your oil, feel it for particles, there will be none. Check your filter too if you want.

I've heard that Fram filters are horrible. Horrible enough that Wal-Mart's SuperTech filters are better. I use OEM Honda filters. yes, they are made by Honeywell. I don't use the S2000 filter, just the filter for SOHC motors (which is pretty universal).

If you are doing oil changes at 3K miles with a daily driver, Fram is good enough. OEM parts are good but you don't need OEM parts for everything. I pay $3 for a fram filter and my motor runs just as strong as the guy next to me who paid $10 for his just because it has honda on it.

K&N is a great name and a great filter, but I don't really think it's worth $10 for a freakin oil filter. I usually use the FRAM tough guard or OEM.

i;ve never heard of honeywell before.. i might try that out next oil change.
but i've tried wix filters and IMO it is considerably much better than fram or honda filters. in my experience, the oil was much cleaner using a wix filter.

also, i believe honda oil filters are now made by fram.
before they were made by bosch, which are very good filters also.
