Injector stuck open? cylinder flooding
Hey guys. Well got my turbo project put all back together when i got back from deployment here recently and went to start her up when i noticed a strong fuel smell. Got out and there was fuel flooding out of the number two cylinder, soaked through the exhaust gasket and everything. So, i pulled the injectors and have them in one of the carb cleaner solution buckets.
Anyway, question is this. I figure the injector is stuck open, but can you clean it to where it will work properly again? Or do they fail to where they cannot be repaired? Anyway, to have it cleaned and checked at napa here is 40 bucks an injector. . . so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Btw, they are RC 550's

Swapped ecu's i have two p28's with hondata s200b's on them. One is tuned for 750's and one is tuned for 550's. I also have a stock p72 i think somewhere.
ok, so i cleaned all the injectors. Tried blowing through them afterwards with an air hose and none of them let any air through. So, the injectors are not stuck open. Put them back in and had the same condition.
Swapped the S200b's around and had the same condition. Disconnected #1 and #2 injectors and had the same conditions.
When i totally disconnect all injectors the leak goes away. So, i dont believe an injector is stuck. But also swapped ecu's so i dont think those are it either (anyway, both those ecu's have been on a shelf in my garage dry for the last 6 months.)
So, is there any other input that may cause this to happen?

Well i dont have a fuel press gauge on there, i suppose i should get one and install it.
Btw, spark is good all the way to the plugs.

i know this is old, im having the same problem with my 89 dohc zc, ive switched the injectors and its still the same cylinder flooding. did you ever find an answer to your question?
