Default Gears grind

I recently bought a 4th gen prelude si. The engine is H23a1 and so is the transmission I guess. All the gears grind a little when they are engaged. I was planning on swapping out the whole drive-train for the h22a, but am not sure I'm going to do that. So, my question is why is it grinding and can I swap the Si transmission out for the V-tech?

common mistake, gm syncromesh isnt what you are thinking of, the "miracle" fluid is GM Friciton Modfied Syncromesh.

Go to your GM dealership and buy friciton modified syncromesh, use it for a while then change back to Honda MTF.
