Default Loud noise driver side engine bay

I am getting a metal to metal sound which sounds like a pully that is hitting metal somewhere, the sound only happens at 1400-1600 rpm it goes away above and below that, I also removed all of the belts to make sure it wasnt a pully or bearings inside the alternator and it is still making the noise, does anyone else have any ideas before i tear into it any further, any suggestions would help.

A shot in the dark. Not clear on your situation, but sounds like a possible case of exhaust on exhaust action.
Heatshield against a part of your exhaust.

I actually found a bolt on the cat that was not completely tightened but I broke a valve cover bolt and am waiting on a new one so I can start it up, I will let everyone know if that fixed it or not, it would be great if it did, but the sound was comming from neer the pullys. Thanks for the input, anyone else?
